The Committee

Beatriz Crawford-Carse

Through my Real Estate Company BCC One World I discovered Marbella, where I came to sell some property, and I fell in love with the place.  The first time a few years ago I came with some clients who bought a home at Rio Real I knew there and then that I also wanted a home in the area.

The next step was joining a golf club; golf has been my passion for the last 7 years, and what I saw when I arrived was that there were no organised weekly or even monthly events; people played with their friends and for me, on my own, it was hard to find other ladies to play; a members only club was beyond my financial reach.

That is why I decided to form a women’s association.  It all started in October 2006 I put an advertisement in a local newspaper and lots of ladies called; we started playing on a weekly basis and we had our first Open event in 2007.  We raised over 1,300 Euros in aid of UNICEF.  We also had putting competitions, Saint Valentine’s meetings and more; we now have a large network of ladies and are looking forwards to having a very active programme for 2011.

I have made my second home in Marbella and travel regularly between the UK and Spain. I particularly like to spend winter in Spain because even when it rains, the light quality is different from the UK and the temperature never dips as low. It's true that people start looking younger after a few months of the good life here in the "Costa". I look forward to your visit.

Ann McDermot

An enthusiastic international golfer Ann’s passion for golf & travel has taken her around the world. Having first trained as a chartered physiotherapist at the University College Dublin she went on to work in both the public and private sectors for 25 years specialising in rehabilitation, orthopaedic and intensive care. Ann has known & lived in southern Spain for over 10 years and has gained an extensive knowledge of the Costa del Sol. Her medical background helps her further appreciate the benefits the location provides such as the more congenial lifestyle, warmer climate, good food and last but not least the abundance of year round high quality golfing.

Janet Ososki

I have worked for over 25 years in the financial services industry, processing and approving residential mortgages in London and the South East, together with working for a very well respected Estate Agency.

I met Beatriz via the Costa Ladies lunch club as I am a golfer too; I am on my own and was looking for other ladies to play golf with.  Beatriz and I met for coffee and we clicked immediately; we started playing golf and I was introduced to the group.  We both have financial backgrounds what gave us one more thing in common.

I am now working for a financial institution in Marbella. My priority is providing excellent service and recognising the needs of the customer which are both essential to reach a successful conclusion; Marbella Ladies Golf has been looking for sponsorship as they lost sponsors over the world financial crisis and the company I work with has shown a great interest in supporting the association.

Out of work my passion is playing, watching and organising golf as well as networking and meeting people. Having now settled in Spain, I am also busy trying to master the language.

Luda Fowler

Ludmila’s first professional career has taken her to different countries focusing on the technical complexities of water dams & hydrological maps. She has worked with different agencies including United Nations. After intensive travelling the family settled down on Costa del Sol, Marbella. Here Ludmila’s passion for Interior Design became her second degree & new career.

In her spare time she loves playing golf & she is deeply involved in all MLGA events. Living on the coast for many years helped her to appreciate & value the beautiful location & the outdoor life style we all have here. Ludmila promotes healthy living with a lot of exercises to stay fit & of course, to consume healthy products. In fact her secret for staying healthy & feeling great is to have a couple of shots of Tahitian Noni bioactive beverage on daily bases. “It is so rejuvenating” she says.
